A Note
from Mrs. Hillman
Greetings from Baldwin Stocker Elementary where we are committed
to excellence! Our school is a place where children are at the
heart of everything we do. Staff, students, and families are
dedicated to providing quality work which is engaging, results
in students learning meaningful content, and challenges every
student to learn more. It is my job as principal to ensure that
all our energies are focused on this vision and that our children
develop the self-esteem and positive character needed to participate
fully in our community of learners.
Our teachers and staff have tremendous passion for the students
at Baldwin Stocker. That's evident based on the positive relationships
that we have established with our community. Parents are our
partners. We treasure all the ways families contribute to the
success of our students: helping with homework, assisting teachers,
working with the PTA, keeping children safe on the playground
and at pickup, and sending their children to school prepared
and excited to learn! In fact, some of our parents and teachers
were once students at Baldwin Stocker.
Behind the scenes, Baldwin Stocker professionals work diligently
at using current research as well as collaborative conversations
to strengthen our instructional program. We value the process
that allows us to make decisions together while respecting our
unique strengths. There is no one right answer, but we strive
to find the way that leads to optimal student learning.
Baldwin Stocker is a school that celebrates success with an
eye on the future. We care deeply about each other and foster
that respect and compassion in the lives of our children. Whether
we are focused on academics, behavior, or social interactions,
goals are established, often met, and then new goals are set
to respond to the needs of our children. This is the continuing
cycle of our work. We recognize that we are all growing in this
ever changing world.
With sincere appreciation for the children of Baldwin Stocker,
Nadia Hillman, Principal
