Holly Avenue is the second oldest school in Arcadia, built in 1926,
but our ideas about education are anything but old! We are
dedicated to educating our students to be productive citizens of the 21st century, and our programs reflect that dedication. Chosen as
a California Distinguished School, we work hard to develop
programs which are rich in content, educate the whole child, and provide tools for the lifelong pursuit of learning.
Holly Avenue, located 16 miles east of Los Angeles, is one of six
elementary schools in the Arcadia Unified School District.
Situated in a residential area comprised of single family homes, apartments and condominiums, many of which lend themselves to
a transient school population, the campus serves a diverse ethnic and academic population. There are 26 languages spoken by the
families of our 600+ students! English Language Development (ELD) services are received by 22% of the student population.
OUR MISSION
The staff at Holly Avenue School is dedicated to preparing students to apply knowledge and skills in the real world and to work
productively and cooperatively. We strive toward a strong
collaboration between school and home, one which will serve as the foundation for a mutually trusting educational team, focusing on the growth and development of all of our students.
Thanks for visiting our web page! We would love to hear from schools who are as excited about the future of education as we are!
