Measure I, The Arcadia Neighborhood Schools Health Safety and Rep= air Measure, passed by almost 67% of the vote, significantly in excess of t= he required 55% supermajority. We are deeply grateful that so many Arcadia= ns understood the need and were willing to support improving the community= =92s schools. And a BIG Thank You to the many parents who worked so hard t= o communicate the needs of our schools; your dedication helped make this su= ccessful. =20 This is an historic occasion as we embark on a major repair and building pr= ogram in Arcadia. While the State does not provide money for major repairs= and upgrades, we all know that the quality of facilities impacts the abili= ty to provide a quality education and attract and retain the best teachers = and now we have the chance to do that for Arcadia.=20 =20 I wanted to let you know where we are and what will happen next.=20=20 =20 We are committed to do our best to manage this program as carefully and res= ponsibly as possible.
