August 24: 6:30 pm, Holly Ave. Staff Lounge - Holly PTA Board & Chairperson Meeting Please come for dessert & decaf, and check out the new decor & parent lounge at our first get-together as the Holly PTA leadership for 2005-06. I want to make sure that we all meet one another, assure you know what your job(s) entail, as well as go over several business items that are time-critical. This is important - please be there if you can in case we need a quorum. As always, kids welcome! 31 and Sept. 1: time (business hours) TBA - Back-to-School Packets Volunteers needed to collate and stuff student packets to go home the first day. September 6: details TBA - Kindergarten Orientation Volunteers needed to serve coffee, donuts & support to incoming K parents. This is a great membership and volunteer recruting opportunity. Need to put up "Welcome Back Coffee" notices for following day. 7: 8:00-9:00 am - Welcome Back Coffee The PTA will offer parents coffee (& donuts?) in the cafeteria. I'd love to have as many PTA representatives there as possible to meet & greet. A tour of the campus will be offered to all folks new to Holly. 10: (date & time tentative) - Holly PTA Membership Drive at Office Depot Volunteers needed to sign up new members & distribute coupons to those who have joined. Possibility that OD will hold a special promotion that gives a $5 coupon to anyone joining PTA for 2005-06 21, 22:Back to School Nights Volunteer and Room Rep. sign-ups. Refreshments sold too. 26: Volunteer orientation and training in the location & use of school equipment. 28: 7:00 pm - Holly PTA Meeting in cafeteria. Open to everyone.
