In conjunction with this, the District will be transmitting ABCNewsNow's Inaugural coverage over our cable channel from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Since ABCNewsNow is only on digital cable (which classrooms don't have) we've arranged this transmission so classes can view it as appropriate on their classroom television channel 98. ABCNewsNow will have a local "studio" set up at Arcadia High School (one of 6 locations in the nation) and during the showing of D.C. Inaugural festivities (starting at 7 a.m. our time) will periodically broadcast remarks made here by local dignitaries, staff and students. When the parade starts at 11 a.m. our time (AHS is in the first element/near the front of the parade) ABCNewsNow will also be interacting with AHS students who will comment on their peers' participation in the parade. All in all, a big media day for Arcadia School District - starting at 7 a.m. Please disseminate this information as appropriate. For parents with cable at their Arcadia homes, the District's channel is Adelphia 98 and Altrio 16. Just note, that for this one day, AUSD's channel 98 will look like ABCNewsNow. Regular AUSD programming resumes on Friday.
