Message-ID: Hi everyone! Now that we're a little more than a week into the kids' summer vacation, I'd like to ask all of you who can to come and help improve the basement lounge and workroom areas at school. The days will be Monday-Thursday, July 11-14. A few of you have already offered to pitch in. The teachers have expressed genuine appreciation for the interest in brightening up their lounge. At a minimum, I'd like to paint the walls and paneling (pale yellow?), try to replace the sink undercabinet and faucet, somehow cover or brighten up the dark bulletin boards, and perhaps re-arrange the appliances and furniture. The workroom could stand some cleaning, trash removal and re-organizing too. Please let me know your ideas and/or availability - day(s) and time(s). I'm viewing this as a "bring the kids, music, lunch and just get going" kind of project and take it as far as our time and energy will allow. I'll bring coffee and bagels, as well as enough tools, rags, primer and stuff to get us started on Monday at 8:30 am. I hope we can talk and make a plan of action for the rest of the week then. I'll have Angela too, so I'll be sure to bring some games and our little dvd player. Hope you can help! Let me know by email or phone - 446-3610 h; 627-6256 cell. Thanks - Lee
