This program gives students the opportunity to do something great for their environment and help their class and teacher earn money for supplies they need. Last year's program was very successful. Students and families helped raise $735, which was all given directly to Holly Avenue teachers to purchase items for their classrooms. Each teacher will receive 60 gallon trash bags to collect the plastic bags for recycling. Each class will earn $5 in Office Depot gift cards for every 60 gallon trash bag they fill with clean, dry plastic bags. You can help earn your class and teacher $5, $10...$25 or more! You can start helping your class earn money NOW by saving and collecting clean, dry plastic bags from all of your holiday shopping at home. Ask your families, friends, neighbors, anyone in the community for their extra plastic bags. Bring the bags in to your classes from January 1st through March 31st. Remember that all bags must be clean, dry and not have been in contact with any food. RECYCLE! Do a GREAT thing for the Earth, your environment and your Class! It is a Winter Wonderland starting at 11:00am in the infield at the racetrack. Adult admission is $5.00 and all kids are FREE. Pick up a flyer in the office for more information. Civitan Track Meet-The Elementary Track meet is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2009 with a rain date of March 18. MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR A FUN NIGHT!!!-The 5th grade will having their Talent Show on March 19 at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. Tickets are $1.00 - proceeds to go towards our field trip scholarship fund. Arcadia Parks and Recreation - have implemented a program information hotline called the Buzz Line. In the event of bad weather or program cancellations the hotline will indicate the status of our daily after-school programs. You can help earn your class and teacher $5, $10...$25 or more! You can start helping your class earn money NOW by saving and collecting clean, dry plastic bags from all of your holiday shopping at home. Ask your families, friends, neighbors, anyone in the community for their extra plastic bags. Bring the bags in to your classes from January 1st through March 31st.
