It's been an incredible year of amazing students. WE are proud of all the students of Arcadia! But there has to be a foundation set...and this is where it begins...Holly Avenue Elementary School. We have the best teachers in the district...they nurture and go above and beyond for their/our children! Let us show our appreciation for these amazing people in our midsts-Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please teach and encourage your child in the art of gratitude. The following is a flyer that is coming home this week. Also included is a template of a letter your child may need if they do not know how to start a note! In addition to a few surprises in the Staff Lounge throughout the week, the students can participate by bringing specified "gifts" to his/her teacher, on the weekday indicated. If you wish to participate, please bring a small homemade gift, drawing or letter of appreciation for your teacher. DON'T FORGET TO SUBMIT A PAGE FO= R OUR TEACHER'S "I'M APPRECIATED" BOOK.   IT'S A CREATIVE WA= Y TO SHOW OUR Holly Avenue TEACHERS JUST HOW = MUCH WE APPRECIATE ALL THAT THEY DO!

  • Write your teacher a letter<= /I>
  • Draw your teacher a picture<= /I>
  • Provide us with special words that = describe your teacher
  • Write a story or share a memory tha= t tells us why your teacher is so wonderful
  • Letters from parents are also welco= me!

    Items larger than 8.5"x11" will be returned to students. &nb= sp; Please make sure you include your student's name and teacher's = name.  One-side only please.  Please subm= it to the school office by Tuesday, May 4

    Tuesday, May 4If you wish to participate, please bring an apple, piece of= fruit or healthy snack for your teacher.  Our teachers c= ould always use that extra boost of energy for the long week ahead.<= /I>

    Wednesday, May 5

    It's Gift Card Mania!  If you wish to participate, please br= ing a gift card ($5 or $10 is plenty) for you= r teacher.  Some ideas are Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Westfield, Mov= ie Tickets, Trader Joes, Boarders, etc.

    Thursday, May 6

    Each year, our teachers spend a LOT of their own money to purchas= e classroom supplies and special art/craft supplies.  If you wish to p= articipate, please bring in classroom supplies.  ot= herwise gift cards to stores like Lakeshore, Angels, Office Depot, Staples,= Michaels, Joann's and Target are always appreciated. 

    Friday, May 7

    If you wish to pa= rticipate, please bring a small homemade gift, drawing or letter= of appreciation for your teacher.
