Please check your schedule for yourappointment time with your student and teacher. Please make appropriate plans for child care. This is just a reminder that the week of November1-5 will be a minimum days. Students in kindergarten will all attend themorning session. 8:20-11:55a.m., all students in Grades 1-5 will be dismissedat 12:35p. No lunch will be served during this week. There will beno supervision of children after their release time. Please makearrangements with your child care providers for your child to be picked uppromptly at dismissal. The office will be closed. Parks andRecreation will not be at school on minimum days. Holly Avenue would like to welcome our visiting principal to our schooland district. Ms. Lillian Yu will be our guest and will work with Mrs.Blackstock for the next three weeks. She visits us from the Peng Lai Road #2Primary School in Shanghai, China. She will begin her visit on Monday, October25th! Holly Avenue's Got Talent! 5thGrade Talent Show is evolving so that it can include any and allinterested Holly Avenue students. As such, we will be sponsoring aschool-wide talent show the evening of Tuesday, November23. Tickets to the show will cost $1.00. Proceeds will benefitthe 5th grade field trip scholarship fund. SCRIP? You can now purchase iTunescards, or go shopping to Sam's Club! You can even get gas cards for Arco,Chevron, and Shell Oil. And don't forget gift cards from Amazon.com! Simplycomplete the order form and send it back with money to the school office. Also, don't forget to renew your Vons/Pavilions and Ralphs cardswith the electronic scrip program.
