AUGH! Starting July 1st, the state law says that "all students entering 7th through 12th grad must show proof of immunization with the tDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) vaccine prior to enrolling in the 2011-12 school year. This requirement must be met by receiving one dose of Tdap vaccine on or after the 10th birthday." Then on the report cards going home lately, it says please bring proof of vaccination to the health office as soon as possible to delay in registration for fall semester...well, a lot of us haven't read that, and now the school office is closed! NEW INSTRUCTIONS: Bring a photocopy of your students' immunization record to the District Office receptionist asap, and leave it there with her to be picked up by our district nurse. Mrs. Purdy will separate the records to the different schools. District Office receptionist will be at the desk. Mondays-Fridays 7:30a.m-4:30p.m. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. YOUR student will not be able to attend school unless these records are not in the district records.
