TICKETS GO ON SALE 8/6/08. *In addition to the Chamber of Commerce donation, AEF will receive $5 for each ticket we sell, so please promote to your friends. THERE WILL BE A PRESS CONFERENCE ON Wednesday, August 6th AT the LA County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia. (near the pool and fountain in the Bauer Lawn area.) I just wanted to remind you to mail a postcard to the library from your summer travels. Mail it to the campus where you want the card displayed. Include the student's name and if you can think of one, the title of a book that relates to the place you visited. (An amazon.com search in books is an easy way to find one.) In the fall, the postcards will be displayed with the student's first name, and the title of a book that can take the reader "on a vacation" to a similar place. Send as many postcards as you like. Post cards can also be dropped off at the elementary office starting the second half of August, just note primary or elementary on the address portion of the postcard. Keep on reading!
