The Aquarium of the Pacific welcomes PTSA members to come explore the Aquarium and learn about the education opportunities for students of all ages.  Two behind-the-scenes classrooms will be open and filled with activities for students of all ages. Each PTSA member is welcome to bring up to 3 children. Check in will begin at 12 noon at the front of the Aquarium and you are welcome to explore until 6 pm. To kick off our parent party ticket sales, we will have the red carpet rolled out this Monday morning.  So bring your cash or checkbook and be the first to buy your tickets for the biggest fundraiser of the year.  All proceeds come directly to Hugo Reid and our children.  Tickets will be on sale for $35 per person Monday, March 30th - April 3rd.  After April 3rd, the ticket price will go up to $40 per person.  Tickets will be on sale on the mornings of Monday, March 30th at the big school and Tuesday, March 31st at the small school.  Tickets will also be on sale every day after school up until Wednesday, April 22nd.  Hope you will join us for this very special evening under the starts at the "Americana at Brand" that will include appetizers, drinks, dinner, live band, casino tables and silent auction! August 26 There will also be the Kindergarten orientation immediately following the Raider Day on Aug. 17th.  We'll have the orientation for new students that are entering grades 1 - 5 immediately following the Raider Day on Aug. 18th. ************************************************************************************ ANNOUNCEMENT # 4 - SCOTTIE DAYS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Attention 5th grade parents - save the date!  Scottie Days will be happening for incoming 6th graders at Foothills Middle School on Thursday 8/20.  Scottie Days is the registration day where you and your student will turn in required school forms (the forms will be sent home mid-summer), make school payments, order and take student pictures, obtain PE clothes and agenda, and get your student's class schedule and books.  It is also a day to find out more about (and join!) PTSA, Music Club (for Orchestra and Band members), and the Chinese Parents Club.  We need volunteers! Come explore the Aquarium and learn about the educational opportunities we have for students of all ages. Our two behind-the-scenes classrooms will be open and filled with activities for students of all ages. Each reservation is valid for one free adult admission and two free child admissions. As the State’s financial crisis continues, Superintendent Joel Shawn has been holding meetings with staff at school sites and offices to discuss the implications and impact on Arcadia’s District budget.
