Here is some important back to school information for Hugo Reiders. Remember
Raider Days (registration days) are next week, with the make up day on Monday
8/23. You should have all received your reg packets in the mail earlier in the
summer.

Back To School Night Gr. 1- 5 ONLY
5:00 pm to 5:30 pm: Primary School Gr. 1 & 2 meet with primary teachers in
their rooms.
5:45 pm to 6:15 pm: All Staff and Gr. 1 - 5 parents meet in the Multipurpose
room at the Elementary School Campus for a general assembly.
6:15 pm to 7:00 pm: Elementary School parents meet with Gr. 2 – 5teachers in
their rooms.

Hope you had a fantastic first week of school! Here we are again with a new
school year and a brand new set of list serve announcements.
>From Mr. Bruce's telephone blast last week:
- Students who arrive early to school: please wait in the MPR (Cafetorium) or
courtyard until the bell rings at 8:18 am. Then proceed to your classrooms. Do
not line up on the black top.
- September 6: NO SCHOOL for Labor Day Holiday
- September 7: Arcadia Recrecration Program begins. Sign up at the Recreation
Department ar afterschool on the playground.
- September 10: Back-to-School Picnic and Disaster Preparedness Night. Begins
at 5:30 pm at the Elementary School Field. If you would like to order dinner
from Burger Continental, please complete and return the order form you should
have received last week no later than Friday, September 3rd to the School
Office. There will be a limited amount of walk-ups. Look for a link from Mr.
Bruce directing you to an online survey about attendance at this special event.
- Family Reading Nights begin! 9/16 at the Elementary Campus Library and 9/22 at
the Primary Campus Library
- September 24: MINIMUM DAY

Sorry folks, I forgot to include this very important announcement in that last

If you have not turned in your membership dues, there is still time! Did you
know that Hugo Reid’s PTSA is able to provide programs and assemblies, family
events, as well as, extra supplies/equipment for our students (just to name a
few!)? The easiest way to support the PTSA is by becoming a member. The cost
to join is $5.00 per person or $15.00 per family (for 3 memberships). A portion
of your dues go towards supporting the State PTA and National PTA, who maintain
legislative advocacy for our schools!
Please take a moment to complete the membership envelope and return it to your
child’s teacher. Return one envelope per family. Checks can be made payable to
“Hugo Reid PTSA”.
