Please take the time to come explore the great selection of books that have been brought to the Cafeteria this year! Monday, September 27th: Cowboys and Cowgirls…join the fun at the In-N-Out ® Rodeo! The Book Fair will be open from 8am to 7pm. The In-N-Out® truck will be on site for dinner from 5:30 – 6:30, serving delicious hamburgers and cheeseburgers. In-N-Out® tickets will be pre-sold as there will be limited tickets the day of the event. Please pre-purchase your tickets for dinner. 75% of the meal price will be donated back to Hugo Reid. Tuesday, Sept. 28th & Wednesday, Sept. 29th: Come Lasso a Great New Book! The Book Fair will be open for parents and students from 8am to 6pm on Tuesday and 8am to 12 noon on Wednesday. We are in need of parent volunteers at the Primary campus to help out periodically with the Character Counts Program. Character Counts is a program reinforcing The Six Pillars of Character—respect, trustworthiness, fairness, responsibility, citizenship and caring. Each week a special activity is planned to reward the students for exhibiting good character qualities. These activities are done the last half-hour of the school day, typically on Fridays. Periodically, we need first grade parents to help out. This is a terrific program and a fun way to get to know students, teachers and parents! Mr. Bruce says about the Character Counts (CC) Program that "This is an important element in the education of our children. Therefore, the more assistance we have the more successful the program becomes. As a school, we feel CC develops kind, safe and therefore more effective classrooms."
