Turn in your books to the cafeteria between 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. on any of these days:

Volunteers will be in the cafeteria to collect your books and record the total number of books received. (For example, bring in 5 books & you will receive a certificate redeemable for 5 "new-to-you" books.)
Redeem your certificate at Hugo Reid's Book Swap on Thursday, 6/2. Classrooms will be assigned specific time slots to come and swap!

There will be a special
end of year Rocky Readers, Hugo Reid's reading club, on Tuesday, May 31 at lunch (12:15-12:50) in Room 101. In addition to the fourth and fifth graders, we are also inviting the third graders so they can experience the program. The book we are reading is Frindle by Andrew Clements.

Park on Santa Anita near Huntington Drive. All the fun rides and game booths you
love, plus five of the most popular gourmet food trucks. Friday 5- 10; Saturday
and Sunday 12 noon - 10 p.m. Ride tickets (usually three required per ride): $10
for 20 tickets in advance at Chamber (447-2159) or 75-cents each at event. Most
rides require three tickets.
July 2: Community parade, street fair, car show, performances, and 10 gourmet
food trucks at Arcadia's Best Patriotic Festival 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday on
First Avenue from Duarte Road to Huntington Drive.
