2026-2027 New Student Enrollment
AUSD uses an electronic enrollment process.  You will be required to attach all the required documents in order to complete the enrollment process online.  Please do not submit an enrollment form prior to the enrollment windows listed below.  If you attempt to submit an enrollment form before your child's window your form will be deleted and you will be required to complete the entire enrollment form again.
 
If you are not a resident of AUSD, see the information to the right on how to apply for an interdistrict permit and become a part of the Arcadia USD family. AUSD non-resident staff - you must have an AUSD-approved permit to enroll.

2026-2027 Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten

 

TK – K Sibling Priority Registration and SPED Pre-K transitional enrollment

Enrollment forms may be submitted online beginning January 12, 2026.

-ONLY for families who have a sibling in attendance at the same elementary site in the fall of 2026

-Eligible currently enrolled Pre-K students receiving special education services will be contacted by the district

 

TK – K Student Registration

-Enrollment forms may be submitted online beginning February 09, 2026.

-All children who will have their 4th birthday (turn 4 years old) on or before September 1st may enroll

 

AUSD full-time staff who live outside district boundaries may submit an interdistrict permit on January 20, 2026. Once you have an approved AUSD permit for provisional enrollment, you may complete the enrollment process, beginning on February 09. 2026 for all grades.    

 

2026-2027 1st Grade through 12th grade

TK – 12th Student Registration

Enrollment forms may be submitted online beginning March 9, 2026, through May, 2026.

 

AUSD also serves students with disabilities that are pre-school age and adults until the age of 22. Arcadia Unified uses an electronic enrollment process. You will be required to attach all the required documents in order to complete the enrollment process online. In order to complete the enrollment process online, you must:
  • Gather all the required documents ahead of time (listed below). You will need to either scan or take a photograph of each document and save the file to your device (computer, tablet, phone) that you will use to complete the electronic form.
  • Attach all of the required documents to your online application
     
  • Review the online form prior to beginning to enter the information because the system does not allow you to save information and return to the form.
     
 
2026-27 Student Enrollment Process
STEP 1 - Gather required documents.
Below are the items that you will need to supply in order for your child's enrollment application to be accepted. 1) PROOF OF RESIDENCY, 2) PROOF OF AGE, 3) PROOF OF IMMUNIZATION, 4) Transcript/Report Card
Please read the requirements carefully; failure to submit the required documents in the mandated form may delay your child's enrollment.
 
1 Residence Verification (Proof of Residency) [3 different documents are required]

In order for a student to be enrolled in the Arcadia Unified School District (AUSD) the family must meet all residency requirements.  NOTE: School enrollment will be denied or delayed until all residency requirements are met.

 

The legal guardian must provide a minimum of 1 proof for each of the 3 areas). Documents must be original, in English, and current (within 30 days). Documents must have the legal guardian’s name and address.

 

AREA 1 Legal authority to reside in the residence.  Documents may include:

  • Purchaser’s copy of the closing escrow papers, prepared by the escrow company, on recently purchased property, property tax payment receipts, homeowner’s insurance, or mortgage statement. (Ownership does not qualify for enrollment. Family must live in the house full-time.)
  • A legal annual Lease Agreement for the entire property and the lease must identify the landlord and all tenants, state the rent amount, due date, and payment method, specify the lease term (start/end dates), detail the security deposit terms, outline maintenance responsibilities, and include signatures of all parties to be binding, plus state laws require specific disclosures and rules for things like late fees, entry, and pets.
  • Room Rental Agreements must include the information listed above and a description of the room being rented and how access to bathroom, kitchen, and common space facilities is provided.

 

AREA 2 Ownership/investment/responsibility at the residence. Paperless items are accepted. Documents may include:

  • Utility Bills (Water/Power/Sewer/Trash), renter’s insurance, cable bill, land telephone bill, internet bill, auto registration, auto insurance, bank statement, credit card statement, property tax payment receipts, pay stub, or other documents individually approved by the enrollment office.

 

AREA 3 Legal Guardian receives mail at the residence.  Documents must be a copy of the outside of the envelope mailed to the legal guardian with the name and address clearly visible and a postmark.  Documents may include:

  • Correspondence from a government agency, voter registration, health insurance, any mailed bill which is different from what was submitted for #2, or other items that do NOT say “or current resident”, such as a credit card solicitation letter, a letter from a bank, health agency mail, catalog, subscription renewal, charity appeal, etc.
 
2 Age Verification [1 document]
One of the following original documents: (a) Original County or State Birth Certificate, (b) Alien Registration Card, (c) Hospital Certificate, (d) Baptismal Certificate.  A passport or other official document may be deemed acceptable by the Registrar.  Please contact the Enrollment Office if you have questions. (EDC § 48002)
 
3 Immunization Records with ALL Required Immunizations[1 document
The original immunization record stamped and signed by the student's health care provider OR the student's immunization record from their previous school. The record must show:
1. The month and year of each dose.
2. For MMR only - the day, month, and year of the dose if given during the month of the first birthday.
3. For Tdap only - the day, month, and year of the dose if given during the month of the seventh birthday.
 
 
Mandatory Tuberculous Screening
 This questionnaire is required by California Education Code sections 49406 and 87408.6, and Health and Safety Code sections 1597.055 and 121525-121555.  Please provide this to your school's nurse during registration.
 
4 Transcripts and/or Report Card
To ensure proper grade level placement per Arcadia Unified School District Board Policy, all students must provide transcripts or grade reports. Bringing copies to the enrollment meeting will help the registrar to make appropriate placement decisions and assist with reducing delays in starting school.
 
 
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENROLL WITHOUT SCANNING OR USING YOUR MOBILE PHONE TO SCAN THE ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS AND SAVING THE FILES TO THE DEVICE YOU WILL USE TO COMPLETE THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS.  Please know that these electronic documents will become part of your child's cumulative record.  Care should be used when using a mobile device to capture documents.
 
Please verify your child has all of the required immunizations before submitting an enrollment form.  Your child will NOT be enrolled without all required immunizations.  See more information about required immunizations under required documents on the left.
 
STEP 2 -  Complete our ONLINE ENROLLMENT FORM

IMPORTANT: You must have an email address to receive your enrollment confirmation number. If you did not receive the confirmation email in your inbox folder, please make sure to check your "spam" folder of the email address provided. YOU MUST USE A USA BASED EMAIL.  If you do not have an email address from the United States you can obtain one for free through google Gmail.
 
STEP 3 Wait to be contacted by the enrollment office. 
Please allow time to be contacted.  Your child's enrollment will be processed in the order received.  DO NOT SUBMIT ADDITIONAL/DUPLICATE FORMS.  This may impact your original submission.  Please be patient with the district; it may take a few weeks for you to be contacted.
 
Once your enrollment form and documents have been reviewed and finalized a Registrar will process your child's enrollment.  The registrar will:
(a) Review the required documents for enrollment and the “Online Registration Form”
(b) Determine grade level and school placement
(c) Determine any required testing
(d) Email you that your child has been enrolled, the school of enrollment and the grade level
 
NOTE:  The school will be notified that your child has been enrolled.  The school will assign your child's class(es) and teacher(s).  When schools are allowed to reopen you will receive communication with information about schedules and registration days.   If schools are not allowed to reopen over the summer, you will be notified of AUSD's plan for virtual registration.
 
STEP 4-  Complete any required testing and attend the registration meeting.
 

IMPORTANT DO NOT WAIT TO COMPLETE YOUR ENROLLMENT FORM

Your child may have to wait to begin school until after the first day if you wait to enroll or attend a school other than your school of residence if you wait. Enrollments are processed in the order they are received based on complete enrollment forms and all required documents being attached.

 
Every student has the right to a free public education regardless of immigration status or religious beliefs and their rights related to immigration enforcement. District staff shall not solicit or collect information or documents regarding the citizenship or immigration status of students or their family members (Education Code 234.7)
